Nutrition

  • This component of the service is not compulsory but is highly recommended, particularly if your aim is to lose weight or build muscle. We need to understand to what degree your current diet supports your aspirations and where changes might need to be made.

I have allocated three hours, but it probably takes me longer than that.

It’s a bit tedious to start with but is worth the effort.

    Myfitnesspal.com

The easy part. We set you up on www.myfitnesspal.com so you can track your daily calorie consumption. You get daily feedback on calorie consumption compared to your BMR which makes it easy to see whether your diet is supporting your training and aspirations or whether some tweaks are required.

You also get an analysis of your macronutrient consumption.

  • This is the tedious part, but it is essential to get an accurate result. It requires some work by you but I can give you some tips on how to simplify the process.

Essentially we break down the food you eat and put it on MyFitnessPal (MFP). So, when you eat your favourite Yellow Thai Curry Chicken you just need to pull up your Yellow Thai Chicken Curry (it will have an individual code on MFP) and add a quantity. Like 300g or 400g. Then add the rice and quantity.

We do ten recipes for you and for most people that is sufficient. Everyday things like a Medium Flat White are simple; they are already loaded into the system.

Once you get a weeks’ worth of meals into the program it is fairly obvious how you are tracking.

  • If your aim is weight-loss and your BMR is 1800 calories a day and your daily consumption is 2000 then weight loss is not likely to happen. Likewise, if you are trying to build muscle and your protein intake is 50g a day, building muscle is going to be very difficult.

The answer is we find a solution. There is always a solution. It may simply be reducing a few calories in obvious areas, or it may be a whole diet overhaul.

  • There is a range of other factors that will influence whether you are achieving your diet goals and we explore those. Particularly timing, sugar burning versus fat burning, your relationship with sugar, fat and refined foods and macronutrient intake.

  • $260 $180

A detailed review of your current diet evaluated against your goals will provide us with a roadmap for moving forward.

    $320 $260

If you are not interested in the training component but would like to undertake the Nutritional Assessment, we can provide that service. The higher cost is reflective of the truer cost of providing the service. We can also provide the service remotely through a combination of email, phone and teleconference.
